Christmas Lights

Every year, hotels along Tumon Bay and around the island decorate their lobbies and properties with festive holiday lights and decorations. It’s a tradition for many families on Guam to visit these displays, take holiday pictures and enjoy the festive spirit.

One of Guam’s most popular holiday illuminations is the Guam Visitors Bureau’s Tumon Christmas Village.  The village features a variety of grand displays and amusing characters that are entertaining and fun for picture taking. In the past, the village has featured characters such as Barack and Michelle Obama, a surfing Santa Claus, and a traditional Chamorro carabao cart. The Christmas Village’s theme and layout changes every year.

Barring delays due to inclement weather, this year’s Christmas Village is set to be unveiled on Friday, November 27, across Governor Joseph Flores Memorial Park (Ypao Beach) in Tumon. The Christmas Village will be alight every evening from 6PM to midnight through Christmas and New Year and will close on January 8, 2016. Parking is available at the village as well as across the street at Ypao Beach.

Bring the family and come see the surprises waiting to be discovered at the Tumon Christmas Village. The Christmas Village’s unique displays and characters will make lasting Only on Guam holiday photographs and memories.
