  • In collaboration with Guam’s tourism and medical partners, the Guam Visitors Bureau is proud to present Air V&V — a program for travelers interested in receiving the COVID-19 vaccine while vacationing in Guam. The Air V&V program offers visitors the administration of the vaccine (Pfizer-BioNTech, Moderna, or Johnson & Johnson/Janssen), COVID-19 tests as need, and digital vaccination records. Participants can enjoy concierge medical service in the comfort of their hotel while enjoying the beautiful island of Guam.

  • Who qualifies for the program?

    • Individuals 12 years old and older

  • If I want to participate in this program, what must I do before going to Guam?

    • All air passengers arriving to the U.S. (including Guam) from a foreign country are required to take a viral COVID-19 test no more than 72 hours prior to departure and to present the negative result or documentation of having recovered from COVID-19 to the airline before boarding the flight.

    • Effective July 4, 2021, Guam continues to implement quarantine for all incoming travelers EXCEPT for those who meet one of the following criteria:
      • Passengers who present a negative PCR test taken within 72 hours of arrival in Guam
      • Passengers who show proof of full vaccination by an FDA- or WHO-authorized vaccine

    • All incoming travelers who, upon arrival in Guam, present a negative antigen test (not PCR) taken within 72 hours of arrival in Guam, will be subject to quarantine at a personal residence or rental lodging at the traveler’s expense.

    • Passengers who do not qualify for an exemption will be quarantined at a government facility.
  • How do I schedule my vaccination appointment(s) and COVID-19 test(s)?

You can schedule these appointments online at airvandv.guamcovid.com.

Which vaccines are being offered on Guam as part of this program?

Pfizer-BioNTech, Moderna, and Johnson & Johnson/Janssen. *subject to availability

    Can I choose my vaccine?

    Yes.

When will the vaccine be administered to me?

The vaccine can be administered as soon as the day after your arrival.

When will the second dose be administered to me (if Pfizer or Moderna)?

It is recommended that you schedule the second dose of the vaccine 21 days after your first dose of Pfizer, or 28 days after your first dose of Moderna.

Note: If you move to another Air V&V hotel any time after your first dose, you can arrange for your second dose to be administered at your new hotel accommodation. However, if you move to an accommodation that is not participating in the Air V&V program, you must return to your original accommodation at the time that your second dose is scheduled.

How long will I have to stay on Guam?

Your length of stay is dependent on the COVID-19 vaccine selected and desired length of leisure stay.

  • What happens if I test positive for COVID-19 while on Guam?

If you test positive for COVID-19 anytime during your stay in Guam, you will be transferred to a government isolation facility for health and symptom monitoring for a minimum of 10 days.

  • How do I book accommodation at an Air V&V hotel?

You can book your hotel through a travel agency or by contacting the participating hotels directly.

    How do I schedule my vaccination appointment(s) and/or COVID-19 test(s)?

You can book these appointments online at airvandv.guamcovid.com.

Can vaccines be mixed (e.g., AstraZeneca for the first dose, Pfizer/Moderna for second dose)?

Latest studies show that the body’s immune system responds better with mixed doses. However, please consult your medical provider.

Can I receive the first dose of Pfizer or Moderna and then return to my home country without receiving the second dose in Guam?

Yes. However, we highly recommend participants to become fully vaccinated by receiving both the first and second dose of a two-dose vaccine.

Can I receive the second dose of the vaccine in Guam through the Air V&V program even though I already received the first dose in my home country?

Yes. Please bring documentation that shows the type of vaccine of your first dose and the date it was administered.

Is health insurance required to receive the vaccine?

    No.

What documentation do I need to receive the vaccination?

You will only need photo identification (e.g. passport, driver’s license, etc.)

What is required for a minor (17 years old and younger) to receive the vaccine?

Minors must be accompanied by their parent or legal guardian so they can provide their parental consent.
