Celebrate the spirit, creativity, and living traditions of Guam through a month-long series of cultural experiences, local artistry, and community gatherings! From interactive art showcases to traditional performances and local vendor pop-ups, Mes CHamoru Month brings together heritage and hospitality through meaningful island experiences for both visitors and locals.

Event Highlights & Schedule:

1. Opening Event: OBRA Art Exhibit Launch: 

Join us for the official opening of the Mes CHamoru Art Exhibit in collaboration with local artists from OBRA. The launch event features a guided walkthrough of the exhibit, live art demonstrations, networking opportunities, and a live caricature artist.

• Date & Time: March 1 at 3:00 PM

• Location: Banquet Landing & Hallway Entrance, Lobby Floor

2. Ongoing OBRA Art Exhibit

Discover contemporary and cultural works by local artists highlighting identity, storytelling, and island inspiration.

• Dates: March 1 – April 11 at the Hallway Entrance, Lobby Floor

• Exhibit Hours: Weekdays from 5:00 PM – 7:00 PM.

• Extended Exhibit Dates (4:00 PM – 8:00 PM): March 14, March 21, March 28, April 4, and April 11.

3. Free Cultural Activities (March 21, March 28, April 4, April 11) All cultural activities are free of charge to in-house guests and the public.

• Fire Dance Performance: March 21 from 5:00 PM – 5:30 PM at the Rotunda Area Balcony. Experience an exciting traditional fire performance showcasing rhythm, movement, and cultural storytelling.

• Karabao Rides: March 21 & April 4 from 4:00 PM – 6:00 PM at the Garden Area. A family-friendly cultural activity offering guests the opportunity to experience one of the island’s most iconic traditions.

• Cultural Workshops & Demonstrations (Rotunda Area):

  • Rock Painting at 4:00 PM

  • Face & Body Painting at 5:00 PM

  • Weaving at 6:00 PM

  • Coconut Husking at 7:00 PM

4. Local Vendor Pop-Ups

Support local makers and food vendors while exploring handcrafted goods and island flavors.

• Dates & Times: March 21, March 28, April 4, and April 11 from 4:00 PM – 8:00 PM.

• Location: Rotunda Area
