Guam’s run with the most fun is back with an exciting Halloween-themed weekend packed with activities, including the chance to run in costume and win cash prizes!

 

The Guam Ko’ko’ Weekend starts on Saturday, October 29th with the Guam Ko’ko’ Kids Fun Run, followed by the Guam Ko’ko’ Road Races with a half-marathon, ekiden relay and the brand-new 10K fun run/walk, all happening on Sunday, October 30th.

 

Dress up and run the Guam Ko’ko’ Road Races in costume and you’ll automatically be entered into the costume contest for a chance to win cash prizes valued up to $1,750! Judges will select the scariest costumes, best superhero costumes and most original costumes.

 

Whether you’re a competitive runner eager to take home one of the top prizes, or just looking for a fun and unique experience to share with family and friends, the Guam Ko’ko’ Weekend has something for everyone to enjoy.

Guam Ko’ko’ Kids Fun Run – Saturday, October 29th

 

Ko’ko’ Weekend kicks off on October 29th with the Guam Ko’ko’ Kids Fun Run, a fun-filled event for little ones as young as 4 years old all the way up to 12. The Guam Ko’ko’ Kids Fun Run is a popular family event that makes health and fitness fun and exciting with energizing warm up exercises, age-appropriate runs, games, cultural activities and more.

 

The Guam Ko’ko’ Kids Fun Run features races for three age groups: a 3K for ages 10 to 12; 2K for ages 7 to 9; and 1K for ages 4 to 6. The event is limited to the first 300 registrants, so get your kids registered today! Each finisher will receive a trick or treat goodie bag, a t-shirt and a finisher’s medal.

                     

Guam Ko’ko’ Road Races – Sunday, October 30th

 

On October 30th, the running momentum continues with the Guam Ko’ko’ Road Races featuring a half marathon, ekiden relay and 10K run/walk. Every year, thousands of local and international runners participate in this GVB signature event, including visitors from Japan, Korea, Taiwan, Hong Kong and the Philippines. Participants can run the individual half-marathon (13.1 miles), join the ekiden relay with a team of 4 (each member runs 5K), or sign up for the brand-new 10K run/walk.

 

The Ko’ko’ race courses will showcase the villages of Tumon, Tamuning, Asan, and the capital city of Hagåtña. Imagine the thrill of running through the villages of Guam, the streets lined with cheering groups and festive entertainment along the way.

 

A Monster Bash celebration will meet you at the finish line with vendors, live entertainment and activities for the entire family, as well as an awards ceremony and breakfast.
